Our Founder Story

Built from the hardest experience of my life. For every family that comes after.

When my father passed away at just 53 years old, everything changed overnight..

There was no time to grieve. He had built his business from the ground up withmultiple locations, staff, suppliers, and relationships that depended heavily on him.Responsibility landed immediately, without a clear picture of how the business actuallyfunctioned. I had the lawyers. I had the accountants. What I did not have was clarity, oranyone to bring the entire commercial and financial picture together.

Only then could I make informed decisions.

That experience is the foundation of Claracy.

Not the idea of selling a business, but the reality that clarity must precede decisions, especially when emotions are high, and the stakes are real.

Claracy exists to give families what I did not have at the beginning: a clear and consolidated understanding of the business, so decisions can be made with clarity. My mission is to change that and protect families.

That experience is not just the reason Claracy exists. It is the reason we show up differently. We are not another professional services firm. We are a founder who lived this and built the thing that did not exist when she needed it most.

Why we exist

We exist for two kinds of families.

Families who are already in crisis, who inherited a business overnight and need someone to step in immediately and make sense of what they have. And families who want to prepare, who love the people they will one day leave behind, and want to make sure they are never left in the dark. Both are why Claracy exists. Both deserve clarity.

Founder

Daiana Carbonero is the founder of Claracy. Fractional CFO with 13 years across top- tier advisory firms (EY, PwC) and in-house finance leadership at Commonwealth Bank. She advises privately owned and family businesses across Australia. When her father died, she inherited his complex business overnight. She had the lawyers. She had the accountants. What she did not have was the commercial and financial clarity to make good decisions. Claracy was built from lived experience and the belief that no family should have to navigate a complex business alone.
